Interbang Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Interbang (the "Service") and set out the rights and obligations between the Service operator and you. Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before signing up. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Purpose

These Terms define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities related to your use of Interbang, a tool for moderated usability tests (UT) operated by the Interbang team.

3. Effect and amendment of these Terms

  1. These Terms take effect when you agree to them during sign-up, and they remain published in the Service for your reference at any time.
  2. The Operator may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law.
  3. Amendments will be announced at least 7 days before the effective date, either via the email you provided at sign-up or via an in-Service notice. Changes that materially disadvantage Users will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
  4. If you do not agree to an amendment, you may request account deletion.

The Service aims to be available year-round, but interruptions may occur due to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance or outages at our subprocessors (Vercel, Supabase, Paddle, OpenAI, etc.). Planned maintenance will be announced in advance. The Operator may change features, policies, and pricing, and may discontinue specific features with prior notice.


5. Sign-up and account

  1. Sign-up is performed via the authentication methods provided by the Operator. You must sign up using your own account or an account you are authorized to use.
  2. At sign-up you must confirm that you are at least 14 years of age and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Each consent is captured separately on the sign-up screen; consent to receive marketing communications is optional.
  3. Your account may only be used by you and may not be transferred or shared with any third party.
  4. You are responsible for managing your account credentials, and all activity performed through your account is treated as your own.
  5. You may request account deletion at any time from Settings > Delete account. The account is permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period.

You agree not to engage in the following conduct:

When you run a moderated UT session that involves audio recording, transcription, or note-taking, you must:

Securing participant consent is solely your responsibility, and the Operator is not responsible for any dispute or damages arising from your failure to obtain it.


7. Rights in content

  1. All content you input or upload to the Service (UTs, scenarios, sessions, notes, audio files, and the like) remains yours.
  2. The Operator may process, store, display, and transcribe your content to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
  3. Content for which you have activated an external share link is accessible by holders of that link; disabling the share link blocks external access immediately.
  4. The Operator may use anonymized, aggregate usage statistics for the purpose of improving the Service.

8. Payment and refunds

Consumed credits are non-refundable. Unused paid credits may be refunded within 7 days of purchase. Refunds outside these cases aren't available, so please buy only the credits you need.

8.3 Price changes

The Operator may change credit pack pricing. Changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via the email registered at sign-up, and credits purchased before the change retain their original unit price.


9. Changes and discontinuation of the Service

  1. The Operator may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational reasons.
  2. In the case of permanent discontinuation, the Operator will announce the change at least 30 days in advance via the email registered at sign-up, and unused paid credits will be refunded.
  3. Short-term outages caused by subprocessor failures, force majeure, or other events outside the Operator's reasonable control are not subject to refund.

10. Suspension and account termination

The Operator may restrict access or suspend or delete an account, after prior notice (or after the fact in urgent cases), if any of the following occur:

When suspended or deleted, unused free credits are forfeited. Whether unused paid credits are refunded depends on the severity of the violation.


11. Disclaimers

  1. Warranty disclaimer: The Service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis, without any express or implied warranties.
  2. Reliability of automated outputs: Audio transcripts (Whisper) and analyses produced by external AI tools you connect yourself are automatically generated and may contain omissions, errors, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying these outputs.
  3. Breach of participant consent obligations: Any dispute, claim, or damages arising from your breach of section §6.2 are your sole responsibility.
  4. Force majeure and subprocessor outages: The Operator is not liable for damages arising from events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, cyberattacks, and outages at subprocessors (Vercel, Supabase, Paddle, OpenAI, Google, Sentry, and similar).
  5. Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except for the Operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator's total cumulative liability arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the lesser of (a) the amount you paid to the Operator for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
  6. Indirect damages: The Operator is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from how you use data or insights obtained through the Service.

12. Dispute resolution

  1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Operator's principal jurisdiction (currently the Republic of Korea).
  2. Disputes related to the use of the Service will first be resolved through good-faith discussion between the Operator and the User.
  3. If a dispute cannot be resolved through discussion, it will be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction over the Operator's principal place of business (currently the competent court under the Korean Code of Civil Procedure).
